Company House Document

Retrieves a document from UK Companies House by its document ID. Documents are typically annual accounts, confirmation statements, or other filings associated with a company.

Document Types

Common document types include:

Annual Accounts Financial statements filed annually
Confirmation Statement Annual statement confirming company details
Articles of Association Company constitution document
Certificate of Incorporation Original registration certificate

Response Format

This endpoint returns the document as a PDF file (application/pdf). If the requested document is not available in PDF format, a 415 Unsupported Media Type error is returned.

Sandbox Environment

The sandbox dataset is deterministic and does not use live data. Use document IDs with the sandbox-document- prefix to receive a placeholder PDF document.

Any document ID starting with sandbox-document- will return a valid placeholder PDF. Document IDs not matching this format will return a 400 error in the sandbox environment.
